Class Dojo vs Class Blog

Actually let me start with saying it's not really "Class Dojo vs Class Blog", although it makes a great heading! Although we have not used the class blog to date as we have been using ClassDojo for sharing, the class blog plays an important role in sharing our learning to a wider audience. We will continue using both this year, so let's clarify the differences.

ClassDojo

• Is a closed network of all the parents of Room 12, only you can see the class posts.
• Is regular short snippets of learning from the classroom.
• Is teacher driven.
• Has Student Story; private between student, whānau and teacher.

Class Blog

• Is a public platform with a global audience.
• Is written mostly by students to publish and share learning.
• Is a good platform to practise good digital citizenship through publishing and commenting.
